Fairgoers were shown a glimpse of futuristic libraries, "whose books have been digested by computers and whose readers may order, electronically, sections...on a pertinent subject," during the World of Tomorrow sequence (13). Back at ground level, they approached the 9,000 square foot Library 21 exhibit. Designed by Vance Johnson of Los Angeles, Library 21 floated above pools of water that offered an atmosphere of serenity despite the hubbub of the busy Coliseum exhibit floor. [see plan]
