Indeed, the fair librarians returned to their homes and began spreading the word. Many of them wrote articles for local and professional publications. Louis Vagianos noted:

This has not been stressed enough. Many visitors took the trouble to tell the staff they felt more secure about libraries, machines, and the future of education as a result of their visit and the explanations they received from librarians at Library 21...The exhibit was the favorite of many. They enjoyed it and returned over and over again -- bringing along friends each time (20).
